Just one of the beautiful displays of the tulip collections at the Keukenhof Gardens in Holland.

According to published historical records this Friary dates back to circa 13th century. In a display of beautiful craftsmanship this quatrefoil window is similar to a four leaf clover in design, looking through you can just see a dividing arch stone wall in the background.

Snowdrops always seem to me to herald the arrival of Spring. William Wordsworth, I think it was. rapsodised(oops! Is that a real word?) about daffodils. Well aren’t snowdrops just as symbolic in their own way?

This beautiful showy red flowering plant, famous for its traditional Christmas display was growing happily at the roadside in Greece. I had to stop by and admire the vibrant red against the deep green of the foliage.
