I have a 3D printed base I got a few years back to make my werewolf fursona but it's just been collecting dust... It's such a cool base visually but it seems so fragile to me. TPU seems less fragile but I don't like the feeling of it at all.
And I think there is nothing wrong with people who prefer TPU! I see how it's less labor intensive and easier to mass produce, it's super beneficial. For me personally I just don't like working with it!
No I get you! I don't do hand carved heads myself, I purchase expanding foam bases for now until I have the resources to make my own molds at home. But I love that even with expanding foam bases, it's easier to customize to specific client needs. It seems harder with 3D & TPU

Is it weird that I'm a fursuit maker that does not like to work with TPU or 3D printed fursuit head bases? I feel old school for not working with it and I feel like it's all people prefer nowadays, but I love expanding foam and upholstery so much more 😭

Today marks day 208 of quitting vaping and I can't believe it's already been that long!
