I (Holfelder) keep a pretty hard boundary around my paid job work hours, and try to devote 2ish hours to my writing a day. Unfortunately, that has led to me being "working" too much, and brought me close to burnout. I'm reworking those boundaries currently.

We're doing a lot of that with #LL&MM right now. Some massive changes are coming that, while they'll take a good bit of surgery to execute, I think make the story much better as a whole. That gut feeling that something is wrong is worth following sometimes.

#LL&MM! It's still a WIP, but it's something that we are putting so much effort and so much thought into. It's something that may not make it "big", but it's an important work that I believe there's a niche audience for, and that audience needs to see themselves in fiction.

For me (Holfelder), the first draft is the easiest. Getting those flowing ideas down is so fun and freeing. Editing, that's where I get stuck. Watson is *great* at fixing my rough drafts, though. She edits and adds flavor and depth in a way that has me in awe.

Fellow POTS sufferer here. I feel you. I *melt* so fast, and I don't always know why until someone is like "huh it's warm in here" and i'm like OH IS IT IS THAT WHY I FEEL LIKE I'M GONNA DIE? It's the worst.

We did not "win" at #RevPit, but honestly, we're okay with that. We've got some solid feedback from some betas recently that we're excited to work on. Plus, getting a logline and query letter together was super useful. And then there's the friends we made along the way. Thanks, RevPit!

Liam is the true protag, but I love this line Watson wrote about Sanal. Sanal is brusque & to the point from the moment they step onto the page. They care about the human body, and sometimes struggle to remember that living patients require consent before treatment. Easy, Sanal.

Here's a snippet from the very beginning of #LL&MM. It's how we meet Liam, practically falling on his face. Which is pretty accurate for Liam, sadly.

This isn't the original first scene, that's been deleted, but Liam nearly falling down has stayed the same. Some things don't change.

Writing stories & being excited about them is slowly healing my inner child, who was often scolded for being "too excited" about things, esp movies/books/tv shows. I'm learning that I'm not "too much". It's a slow process, but it's happening.

Thanks :) I've got a medication switch happening which is hyping up my anxiety and dipping my confidence. Writing is taking a hit unfortunately. But I'm hoping I'll get things figured out soon and come back strong.
