I'm losing all of mine too. This is just the first round. The rest will go soon after I'm afraid.

Right? Is my brain too full of yarn or am I missing some obvious slang for something I'm oblivious about? Maybe I don't want to know???

I had a video flagged for talking about "spinning consistent singles." πŸ₯΄

If it helps, we also felt icky the day after the vaccine so hopefully it's just your body doing what it's supposed to and you'll feel better soon.

A big part of making niche videos with unusual jargon is fixing all the auto spellings in the closed captions so it makes sense. "Apply after spinning from a real egg?" No, that's "ply after spinning from a rolag."

And I'm boosted πŸ’ͺ so I took myself out for a scoop of ice cream.

The weirdest thing about growing my own culinary mushrooms is that once they start to fruit they are bigger every time I look at them. Sometimes I stare at them and think I can see them growing. πŸ„

I dyed 6 lbs of wool today. That was my reward for battling Notion and making myself get more organized.

Thank you! πŸ₯°

I'm trying to figure out how to make Notion work for my brain. I need an organizational tool for my attempts at finding an organizational tool.

Anyone use Notion for your crafty projects? Any tips to share?

A woven inkle band is the focus of the picture. Above is a skein of handspun linen. Below is a wooden inkle shuttle. The background is a wooden table.

So fun to see everyone's work! Here's something I made recently. 🧢 It's a small inkle band from some of my hand spun linen.

Tom stands against a dark creasoted wooden slatted wall. he has a smirk on his face and is looking off to his left. He's wearing black and has a gorgeous silver streak in his goatie, shaved hair, and a silver tip to his quiff. he's holding out the Toph Cowl in front of him, placing it in centre frame. It's knitted with a mid grey steel grey background and features leaves on stalks in variegated pinks and pastel yarn.

The breeds were Icelandic, Coopworth, JacobXLincoln, and Finnsheep and each one is so unique!

Last night I scoured 4 different breeds of wool at the same time with each in its own pot on my stove. Seeing the lanolin cloudy water side by side to compare and see which breeds needed more soap, rinsing, or shoving to stay under the water was so informative!

Knitted color work still on the knitting needles. The pattern is an owl in a cream colored wool with a dark blue background.

Who is this? Current project: Night Owl by Bad Wolf Girl Studios. It's all handspun and dyed by me.

I love the part after the color work chart is done and the sleeves are divided out and it's miles of stockinette. It's like getting out of city traffic where you can roll down your windows on the highway and just go. #knitting
