Cheers mate, hope you’re well and maybe I’ll catch you at a rare sometime….although I’d likely have to actually stray from Cambs airspace first!!!

First saw one in Cambs on Girton golf course many years ago and more recently on the course in Pidley. Worrying news though, one’s been knocking about my road for past few months…there goes the neighbourhood!

Nice trip out this afternoon for the Tundra bean and Russian white-fronted geese at Sutton North Fen. Didn’t even have to leave the car for the latter! Good number of Kestrels along the surrounding Droves @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social

My sort of birding at the weekend. Poached eggs on toast and a black coffee on the go, Only Fools & Horses on the TV……and taking photos from the sofa!

Didn’t bother taking the scope (as usual) on a walk over Ouse washes, Earith yesterday. Nice Common buzzards in the bi-noc-u-lars and only checking a few photos where the zoom was straining did I realise one was sitting on prey! @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social #ukbirding
