Thank you, I do enjoy writing by hand.
I think PNW has colder winters & warmer, drier summers but it's such a huge area that I expect it varies quite a bit!
There is no rush, and most people don't have the warm, frost free, and light under cover space to keep faster growing plants healthy until May (or even later for those further north).
in particular how you can keep more tender plants (ie: not frost hardy) warm and healthy until later on in the spring.
The last frost date where I live is in May, even inside the polytunnels!
Try not to get swept along by social media "grow alongs"....
Around the middle of the month, daylight passes 10 hours a day, and gradually increases every day until the summer solstice in June. This is ideal for growing healthy seedlings and plants.
Keep an eye on the weather forecasts where you live, and consider what growing facilities you have.
What to Sow in February. A list of some of the things you can sow in February - but apart from aubergines, chillies and peppers, which take a long time to grow in the UK, everything on this list can wait until March.

and winter. Today I am prepping more undercover growing space for the seeds I'll be sowing in February, and pricking out the seeds that I've already sown

Good morning ๐ฑ It's a beautiful day here in Wales, after yesterday's stormy weather & I am happy to be able to spend most of it in the garden - even if it is rather boggy!
I grow year round here at my small homestead. Here are some of my seasonal harvests

snow scene of a cottage and garden
Good morning from snowy Ceredigion. Freezing temperatures last night & more snow means the roads are very slippery, so I'll be staying home.
Had to defrost the latch for the duck run with hot water!
Making the most of this beautiful weather.
I'm thoroughly enjoying the beautiful snowy weather here today, but it did rather confuse my ducks!

I took these photos before dawn. It's snowing again.
