That’s me holding a bundle of freshly picked rhubarb in the allotment kitchen garden, looking quite pleased with myself. These are the regular stems from the beds rather than the forced ones from earlier - deeper red, broader, and a bit more robust in appearance. Behind me, the kitchen garden is coming back to life, with worked soil and early growth. A decent haul for one picking, and enough for a rhubarb crumble later.
