when you're sitting in dumbass traffic on Nolensville Pike full of giant cars with just one (1) person in them, and then you see a car with ZERO (0) PEOPLE IN IT
four eastbound Metro SubwayLink trains scheduled to arrive within a 15 minute window.
previous train was at 10:22, following trains are delayed 10 minutes at 10:42, 6 minutes at 10:48, and on time at 10:52 creating train bunching
bus bunching can happen to trains as well
10-minute headways slip to a 20-min gap followed by 5-min headways
East Nashville post asking to find housing for their 76yr old dad.
This is who we are keeping out of East Nashville when we clutch our pearls over slight increases in density.
ADU's should be allowed by-right on every property. +1 small unit on every lot. Ie; If a lot allows 2, you can have 2 big houses + an ADU. Would go far for affordability.
Current planned Connect Downtown mobility lanes to be built from "2027+" according to an NDOT presentation at BPAC on 4/20/26
The original Connect Downtown Action Plan for Phase 1 and 2 mobility lanes. Phase 1 included 11 new mobility lanes to be built between 2024-2026, plus upgrades to Demonbreun and Commerce. Phase 2 included 9 more new mobility lanes to be built from 2027-2029.
Here's our current plan for Phases 1 and 2, compared to what we were supposed to have built.
The entire point of Connect Downtown was to take urgent action to "aggressively advance a safe and connected active transportation network that supports people of all ages and abilities.”
So why are we building less than half of the planned mobility lanes in more than twice the time?
It irks me SO MUCH when Nashville Downtown Partnership appears before a public body saying they represent all the businesses, visitors, and residents downtown. WHO ELECTED YOU????
MNPD has released the name of Hershel Trotter, 66, who was killed cycling on Harding Place this past Saturday, April 18th.
Was gonna try and live post some but this app slow af what is happening?!?!
If you're not at BPAC and you care about Traffic Calming, you can join this meeting happening at 6pm
Uh so @quinevanssegall.bsky.social going off on this tree trimming!
Back in 2019, Alejandro Henao and I estimated net hourly wages ranging between $5.72 and $10.46 for Uber & Lyft drivers
(minimum wage was $11.10 in Colorado at the time)
The question @nytimes.com asks shouldn't be: how can this family of 3 can afford to live in NYC on $25k per year?
The better question would be: how is it possible that Uber only pays him $25k per year when he drives 60 hours each week?!?
As much as @davidzipper.bsky.social and I push back on treating Waymo's improved safety as a given, they are still light years ahead of this nonsense
🤓 Just me riding the bus to #MetroCouncilNash
@nashvillemco.bsky.social

The Kroger on Edmonson Pike today, inexplicably, was just playing the Jubilee album by Japanese Breakfast.

Just patronized some of the new spots near Dickerson Pike and Cleveland St and I am yet again asking why we aren’t mandating parking in the back for new developments…
This is the guy who would build the sphere in Nashville btw, if it happened
East siders-anyone have a mechanic they trust? I know what I need done and it’s fairly simple but does require a lift or jack.
Every time I go to Enterprise they’re having some sort of technical difficulties
