Car dependent sprawl is isolating for seniors who need more options. The AARP has an excellent, educational booklet full of images of missing middle housing. I ordered 40 (free!) for every member of #MetroCouncilNash this term. Additional copies in the @nashvillemco.bsky.social resource library.

The #MetroCouncilNash should seriously consider removing Rob McCabe and Casey Santos from the NES Board. This is an egregious abuse of power, and it put the NES CEO — who I believe made the wrong call here — in an incredibly uncomfortable position, given that the board is her boss & sets her pay.

Here’s how checked out I am from #MetroCouncilNash: the other day, it occurred to me that I do not know who the chair of Budget & Finance is. And instead of looking it up, I just…didn’t. Still don’t know who it is! How freeing.
Social Housing mentioned! 🏠

I had my first Red Cross volunteer shift at the Fairgrounds today.
Metro employees have pivoted from their normal roles to being part of this response, and it was good to see their leadership in action while serving as a volunteer on the other side. #metrocouncilnash
