I'm so glad Leonard is finally receiving the recognition he deserves! Hopefully this helps relieve him of his weighty thoughts. 😂
He is indeed just sitting in front of his portrait contemplating his existence (also hoping I give him a treat) 😀
Very useful, clearly presented paper published in @bmj.com about dealing with continuous variables. Handy resource for authors and editors www.bmj.com/content/390/...

CKD in T2D isn’t just common - it’s deadly 💣
Up to 1 in 3 people with T2D have CKD, and the risks go way beyond declining eGFR
📈Those with CKD had 2–3x higher rates of CV events, hospitalizations, and death

Schematic illustration of the ecological momentary music intervention (EMMI-T). Upon reporting a stressful and/or discriminatory event (E1: ‘pre’), participants will be randomly assigned (50:50) to listen to their study playlist (i.e., intervention event) or not (i.e., control event) (= intervention period). If assigned to an intervention event, participants may choose a music listening duration of 10 or 20 min. A post assessment (E2: ‘post’) will be included to capture effects on subjective stress levels and biological stress markers (salivary cortisol, salivary alpha-amylase).
Our team member Stefanie Hirsch just published her first paper! 🎉
The protocol describes an ecological momentary music intervention for stress reduction in chronically discriminated against Turkish immigrant women.

This paper is so important and shows how different approaches to screening can change the cost by 20 billion dollars. Being more targeted does just as much good and avoids screening burdens and extra costs for women. bmjopen.bmj.com/content/15/2...
