[3/3] A fun fact about her: she grew up in a remote village called Brion in the French Alps, where winter snowstorms would sometimes block the forest roads with fallen trees, leaving her home completely cut off. Feel free to connect with Alma on Linkedin: linkedin.com/in/alma-dubu...
[3/4] Outside of her research, Alma enjoys open-water and ice swimming, hiking, running, exploring scenic outdoor locations, reading, and watching thrillers.
[2/4] Her research focuses on the intersection of genomics and neuroscience, with a particular interest in integrating these fields to better understand and address neurological disorders.
[1/4] Alma Dubuc is a first-year CBB PhD student who earned her bachelor’s degree in biology, mathematics, and physics, as well as a master’s degree in biology and bioinformatics, from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon in France.

Haley Zhang and Inna Cohen, @YaleCBB Ph.D. candidates, will be presenting this week on their selected scientific articles.
[5/5] Outside of research, Antonia enjoys reading, watching French New Wave films, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, and has also recently returned to playing tennis. Feel free to reach out to her on Linkedin: linkedin.com/in/antonia-p...
[4/5] Having worked with large-scale virtual screening and molecular dynamics methods, she is now interested in exploring how machine learning can be physics-informed to accelerate and improve these computational approaches.
[3/5] Her research interests center on protein structure, dynamics, and interactions, with a focus on predicting and characterizing these processes to advance translational research and improve drug development efficiency.
[2/5]Growing up in Constanța, Romania, she fondly remembers going to the beach with her high school friends in the Astronomy and Astrophysics club to observe the Pleiades with their telescope.
[1/5] Antonia Panescu is a first-year CBB student who received an integrated master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford.
