More on the link brain-heart axis and sensorimotor function, relevant for BCI research 🤖: Different bodily rhythms are coupled with cortical regions at rest. Here we show that motor imagery triggers a decoupling of cardiac dynamics with motor cortex functional connectivity 🧠🫀 doi.org/10.1101/2025...

#graphtheory We demonstrate that for geometric random graphs the edge-crossing scales with the square of the number of connections (Supplementary Text 4).
#computationalgeometry We establish analytical relations between the number of connections in a spatial network and their total length (Supplementary Text 1).
#neuroscience Reflecting biological resource constraints, we show that progressive-cost models more accurately capture the key properties of brain networks (Fig 5).
#networkscience We introduce a model based on the concept of progressive cost, where adding a new link becomes increasingly expensive as the network becomes denser (Fig 4).
So many broad insights and implications on :
#dataviz We provide an unbiased criterion to filter complex networks that is compliant with common human perception (Fig 1-3)
Left or right - which one is more connected?
Most say left, but here’s the twist: both have the same number of connections!
Why does one looks more connected? It’s all about #spatiality – how links occupy space.

A needed review on the topic!
May I suggest that the first work using functional brain connectivity for person identification is 2014 and not 2015.
I m sure expliciting this would make such a great service to the community.
