That was it

“How is that not a foul?” As if Halland don’t have a handful of jersey when he scored, and was pulling and grabbing Gabriel at the exact same time there. #Arsenal #MCARS
I think I’ve felt a bit more patient about Gyokeres than most, but we just function so much better with Havertz. His technical superiority over VG and wider array of tools offer so much more in other areas of the field. We’re just better with him #Arsenal #MCARS
#Arsenal are so aggressively positioned all over the field. Against the ball, rest defense, in possession, everywhere. It’s no wonder Mosquera is struggling. He’s on an island AND starting from aggressive spacing. It’s not just him either, and it’s a sign of how hard they’re going for this #MCIARS
Voloder has been a bad partner for him. And he has been poor on the ball, out of position and really rough defending moving toward our net. I attribute SOME of that to not having a solid partner to start. Some.
Today 100%. When he was partnering Che he was valuable there to break lines. He’s been good and bad all season, but looked better next to Che. It’s the reason he’s keeping other options out of the side, and why his replacement originally was Berggren. Bradley seems to want a distributor back there
Should have added that we did it in just a couple passes, one of which was a long diagonal. Play happened faster than Montreal could adjust. That is how you open up a low block. Side to side quickly to force adjustments at speed #RBNY
First time all game I’ve seen us go touch line to touchline. If Sofo controls that ball he has space and an isolated defender. More of that please #RBNY
I will go to bat *a little* for Dylan. He hasn’t been good, but our entire central defensive set up is in shambles, and no one looks good when that happens. Dylan Nealis isn’t a CB in this team for his ability to defend. He’s there to pair a better defender and distribute. Clearly Voloder isn’t it
Man, we defend like 10 year olds on the playground #RBNY
My kingdom for a real center back
*le sigh*
#RBNY
Again from the wide channel. You could look at Marshall-Rutty b/c a lot of it seems to come down his side, but his positioning so far inside the channel feels deliberate instructions, and the CBs don’t mark well enough on the retreat which gives options to the ball from that position #RBNY
I mean, imo anyway
Horrendous matchup, and we don’t know ourselves well enough yet (meaning mostly Bradley) to be adaptable when we need to. We play right into their hands
I have thoughts. I think we just match up incredibly poorly, and we don’t have enough time in our set up to be adaptable to this kind of mismatch
Too many guys playing in the same spaces. MDS running into the channel directly in front of Ruvalcaba (who’s a channel runner), Julian dropping into the 8/10 spaces to chase balls, and guys overcrowding areas off the ball so that there’s nowhere to go when we do win it. Positionally struggling #RBNY
hardly at all to maintain positioning, and then they release wide into the channels that we don’t play in or defend. It’s no wonder they’re a bogey team for us so far. It’s like we’re built to lose against specifically them. And in 1.5 games so far we haven’t adjusted to that #RBNY
We are playing far too compact for playing against a low block. Even in possession we stay narrow AND out-to-in without getting out to the touchline. Then when we do play “wide” in the final third it’s just outside the half space to attack the corner of the box. Montreal doesn’t have to work… #RBNY
Trans People Belong In View Harrison Browne
For Trans Day of Visibility we’re highlighting the accomplishments of famous athletes. Their accomplishments on and off the field of play deserve to be celebrated. They are competitors, they are our teammates, and they are strong. We hope that these visible athletes remind us that sports and athleticism are important to the whole trans community. Their fight, grit, and determination enrich us all. Today we say Trans Athletes Belong.
Cloud 9 is sharing the story of Harrison Browne, the first publicly out transgender athlete in professional hockey. While Harrison came out as a transgender man to teammates in college, he did so publicly in 2016 as a professional player for the Buffalo Beauts of the NWHL. He won the Isobel Cup with the Beauts in the 2016-17 season, and again with the Metropolitan Riveters in 2017-18. Harrison also helped form the first ever transgender policy in professional sports.
Following his retirement from pro hockey in 2018, he has become an author, actor, and filmmaker. In 2025, Harrison and sister Rachel published a non-fiction book about transgender inclusion in sports called Let Us Play. He developed and produced the short film Pink Light. Most recently, Harrison appeared in a guest role in the series Heated Rivalry. We’re proud of Harrison’s accomplishments on and off the ice, today and every day!
For Trans Day of Visibility, Supporters Groups across the NWSL are highlighting the accomplishments of famous athletes. We are honored to highlight Harrison Browne.
Today and everyday we say #TransPeopleBelong.

BREAKING: The United Nations has voted 123-3 in favor to condemn the enslavement of millions of Africans and the trans-Atlantic slave trade. The three countries voting against it? 🇺🇸 USA 🇮🇱Israel 🇦🇷 Argentina Nearly all of Europe abstained.
Parody is no longer possible.
Mikel waited way too long and goals come in bunches. Once we were on the back foot it was a matter of time before we broke. Had to do something about it much earlier. A real mountain to climb now #ARSMCI #CarabaoCup
We’re packing up the middle and relying on shape to get through the pressure, but we aren’t able to handle their wide play. Can’t hold middle shape when they can pepper you from the wings #ARSMCI #CarabaoCup
I repeat, Kepa wtf #ARSMCI #CarabaoCup
Again trapped in our own box like before the half. Feels like Arteta’s waiting for 60+ to make changes and I’m not sure we’re gonna get there #ARSMCI #CarabaoCup
We’re definitely going to see a red in this game #ARSMCI #CarabaoCup
Kepa wtf #ARSMCI #CarabaoCup
They way they stand off Kepa is weird. They are either incredibly confident he’ll give them the ball or very scared of opening up for the long ball. Very confusing for a keeper known to be not as good with his feet #ARSMCI #CarabaoCup
Can’t get out if the box #ARSMCI #CarabaoCup
Hincapie won’t last this 90. Regardless of game state he looks shakey vs Semenyo and the early yellow seems to have gotten into his head #ARSMCI #CarabaoCup
