Looks like a bullfrog. Not sure if they're native to Oregon, so it might be a lost pet, or an invasive species. My wife and I saw a huge one in Ashland ten years ago. We thought it was statuary until it hopped!

That sounds fun! We have a canoe that we might eventually take out on the water.

My wife and I have been scanning this particular cliffside for nearly 20 years, and this is one of two Barn owls we've seen. It was so special.

I was scanning a cliffside at Lava Beds National Monument and did a double-take when I came across this Barn Owl deep within a crevasse. At first, I thought it was standing at an angle, but it was actually leaning on the wall. The sun was setting and it was just waking up. 🪶 #birds #owls
