Woven in Wool: Resilience in Coast Salish Weaving Woven in Wool: Resilience in Coast Salish Weaving showcases both historical and contemporary woven items, as well as the materials and cultural and scientific knowledge used to create them.

If you happen to live or visit Seattle, I would highly recommend this exhibit at the Burke Museum showing the weaving of the Coast Salish. Beautiful work and interesting use of natural products for dying. www.burkemuseum.org/exhibits/wov... 🧶

Picture this. It's not free, but we live on a few acres, and some plant or another is always popping up. Husband says it is the best money we spend to find out if we keep or pull the latest thing to germinate. 🤣

My plant identifier app says Kousa Dogwood.

I think shawls are particularly easy to underestimate the amount of time to completion. It starts off so innocently with just a few stitches and maybe a little triangle. I now pay close attention to yardage for the project.

Just looked at Crossroads Mall in Bellevue, WA. Seemingly, they have every color except the one you want. ☹️

I apologize if you have already mentioned, but what pattern is this?

Look at what just jumped into my queue!! 😁

If you happen to live in the Seattle/Tacoma area and are hunting for yarn at Joanne's, the store in Crossroads had a huge selection of Caron and Big Twist. Other brands as well but don't recall names. Aisles and aisles of yarn. 🧶

#showmeyourknits Gray this week, but for me, it is gray with something else. Couldn't find one of my knits that's just one color.🤔

Did you find the sign at Darn Knit Anyway in Stillwater MN? They always have such clever postings in front of their store. Miss them after leaving IG.

I mistakenly thought the pattern name was nibling... took me to a very cute child sweater pattern, but didn't look anything like an octopus. 😆

That is adorable!! Is the heart duplicate stitch or intarsia?

I immediately thought of Super Swirl Shawl. Same vibe with the shape and the ribbing. I like the way you used the variegated and solid color yarns. Beautiful!!
