Who keeps a journal of the plants they grow?

I talk about my own little experience growing #flax in pots in a new substack article, and I’d love to know if you keep a growing journal.

Al llegar al Museo del Traje para participar en el grupo de trabajo de roseta canaria pensé en lo bien que quedaría un bordado en la torre del museo. ¿Cuál sería vuestra propuesta? Aquí os cuento la mía:

And this year I'm having lots of ants, last year there weren't, but curiously no aphids this year and last one, lots of them.

[spa]

A detail of the #madder I have at home. This year I'm planning to harvest the roots 🤞
In the meantime here are some flowers. They have five petals, but there are some with six!

Internet Archive is now an official US government document library The US Senate has granted the Internet Archive federal depository status, making it officially part of an 1,100-library government network.

As more and more government information disappears, we're glad to see @archive.org (which has done so much already to preserve our online history) become an official Federal Depository Library!

Remember not to remove lichens from natura to dye, they are very delicate and need years to grow.

Tinctorial Dye Fungi Dye Fungi are less known than dye plants, yet still amazing. This group is only for known dye fungi around the world. Take pictures, not lichens!

Now dye fungi are in a split apart project from Tinctorial Collection on iNaturalist: www.inaturalist.org/projects/tin...

To see them together, you still can visit Tinctorial Umbrella, along with other dye plants projects: www.inaturalist.org/projects/tin...

I'm very grateful to Antonio Rodríguez Ruiz, in the first foto, to also Antonio and Carmen for organizing it. These beautiful mats, and tablecloths are theirs.
And, of course, to Museo a mano / @museodeltraje, too!

And so I spent yesterday's morning, making a 'roseta', a type of lace from Canary Islands, at Museo del Traje for World Wide Knit in Public Day 2025.

Y estas son todas las fotos que he hecho O_o Si tardo un poco más no queda ni la papelera para la foto…
Muy contento con toda la experiencia, la gente muy entregada y El Retiro muy detallistas en la organización.

Thanks! The first link is 404, and all this is for the data USA-NPN already have, but I was speaking of formatting my own data to share it in a standard format, so anyother can use it, if they wanted to. But as of your answers I'm supposing there is not such a scientific standard. Still searching!

Maps are a great resource to visualize, but I was thinking on raw data, so I can share and others could use for their analysis...

11 months ago 0 0 1 0

Is there any standard to share this data, once is recorded?

11 months ago 0 0 1 0

no idea, I don't know if flax could thrive in a soil like that.
Other possibility is that maybe you can try on a big pot with new soil...

Just 100 days (aprox.) It's a easy crop, I think, only make sure it has a constant watering.

Is someone into phenology? This year I'm growing flax again in a pot, but also taking notes about their growing. I'm using this sheet in case you'd like to join, comment, discuss, etc:

I think you can use it from the first year growth, but it is best at their third year, or third autumn, when it should be harvested. (then processed to dry and storage or used fresh...)
