I actually think the remastered presentation on the standalone Blu-ray looks equally as good as the UHD. DV HDR is nice but not transformative on this release. The BD included with the 3 pack is NOT the remastered one, so if you are a completionist like me you'll need to double-dip

5/5. A monumentally important movie & one that still holds up fine today. It's crazy to me that Craven had such an impact in horror across so many decades! Well shot & directed, good effects & gore, good music. It's hard to overstate just how influential this one still is. 100% recommended.

3/5. Cheesy as heck but still extremely entertaining. Think "40s/50s giant creature" flick meets "70s exploitation". Cheesy effects, goofy story, classic overacting, some nudity. This one is definitely recommended for anyone who likes cheesy movies or giant monster stuff. Check it out!

4/5. The weakest of the series, but my GF & I still enjoyed this one immensely, although she was very frustrated about the ambiguous ending. VERY unique story, good cast, well directed & shot, good music, decent effects & CG. Recommended for Phantasm fans that want to see it through to the very end.

Great minds think alike! I LOVE Skeleton Key! I randomly saw it in theaters & I've loved it ever since ❤️ I "had" to pick this version up because it's got a bunch of new extras! 💪🏻

I haven't seen it in YEARS so I'm looking forward to the UHD 💪🏻💪🏻

Of special note: those insanely nice collector's edition sets for Pearl & Maxxxine and the insanely rare Turbine Mediabook of The Thing (1982), the acquisition of which means I now own all hd versions of this movie

I should also add that my girlfriend literally picked this one. In a normal horror series, she would have lost interest by now but she got so interested in it that she stopped beading and just watched it 🙏🏻

Of course I say "haters be damned" but I've never met a single person who didn't enjoy Phantasm 🤷🏻‍♂️🤔

4/5. Honestly, this series just maintains a high level of quality, haters be damned. Fun story, good cast, great practical effects & gore, some nudity & decent music. It's wild to see the series evolve from dream logic horror to apocalyptic sci-fi horror & I love every step of the way. Check it out!
