Coy exits the car, returns to the gate, then closes and secures it with the chain and padlock. Coy pauses and takes in his remote surroundings before returning to his car and driving toward the cottage. Across the street, headlights turn on. INT. DOROTHY'S CAR - NIGHT She watches Coy, shakes her head, and then drives off. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. DRIVEWAY - NIGHT The driveway is unpaved and rough. The Mercedes bounces along with the trailer struggling to remain in tow. A cloud of dust follows them. EXT. COTTAGE - NIGHT Coy drives up to the house and turns off the car. He gets out without closing the door and walks to the backyard. EXT. COTTAGE BACKYARD - NIGHT Coy stares out at the lake. The sun is about to set. We see the area from above: the isolation of the cottage and lake. Coy watches the still water painted with the colors of sunset. A fish BREAKS THE WATER and then CRASHES back below the surface. He smiles and watches the sun sink behind the tree line on the opposite side of the lake. EXT. COTTAGE, TRAILER - NIGHT Coy removes the last box, closes and locks the trailer door, and goes inside.
