You can always sent me a private message on nearly any platform. It would be good to know what event so I can share the feedback with that organizer. I run the international Design Conference Organizers group and most UX conference organizers are part of this group. They want to hear the feedback.

I agree. If I’m ever asked to do a specific topic like that I always turn it on its end. I focus on what went wrong and what I learned from it… specifically what I did to fix it or how I got past it, etc. We can learn from mistakes but it’s pretty hard to learn from someone who never talks about it.

Ain’t me. Check UID, someone else pretending to be me.
Could you let me know what specific UX conferences you are seeing this at? What sessions, exhibit booths, or workshops did you feel were MLMs? Serious, it would be helpful. The more insight I get the more I can help do something about it.
Curious feet percentage of your users have been identified as potentially color blind in some way?
Additionally consider adding a pallet cleansing moment of just black before showing the next one.. why? physiological afterimage (caused by retinal photopigment adaptation or neural fatigue) is real.
You’d think so, sadly Deloitte Digital didn’t see it this way. Part of the reason the big 4 (was big 5 previously) very slowly dying off and will inevitably be a thing of the past. On paper, yes, “expertise” is sold, in actuality they didn’t want their experts to question anything & just deliver.
Yep, it’s the current state of the market. Cutting expensive talent to drive profit even higher. And then not backfilling but utilizing AI to, in theory, do the work. What gets lost is tribal knowledge, genuine empathy, deep contextual understanding, & ethical judgment. What could possibly go wrong?
Me to the tool that generates the alt text: “well thank you for sharing the details of the fashion choices in this gif first but this doesn’t add much value to the reader just trying to understand that a nerd is fist pumping awkwardly. It’s ancillary information.”
The irony of the default generated caption (really ALT text) of this GIF is that it says she’s giving the middle finger.
The D&D 5e game group I’ve been hosting for about 5 years is looking for a new player to join us. The campaign is epic-scale, takes place in a custom world, & is story-driven. We game from 7pm - 9pm pacific every other Thursday but flexible. Players are across the US. If interested DM or reply here.
Well… that’s not exactly how I imagined it all ending.

Matto’s ( @matthewoliphant.com ) UX show is far far underrated & undersubscribed. Definitely checkout this episode with Erin Casali (@folletto.bsky.social). #ux #design
My first reaction was “oh wow, Matto on a hoodie!” Then “Nah the annoyance with all the ridiculous shit going on in the world right now isn’t in this… can’t be Matto.”
🤣
Hello, peopleos!
I'm looking for work and am hopeful someone in this place can help. Here's the low-down of what I've been up to, how I can help, and yes, I will move to Ireland. :)
If you don't know of anything at the moment, a quick repost is appreciated.
Different era. I’ve seen the hops where it seems majority move to a next/newer but hey it keeps those who code gainfully employed. I say this having played a part in moving a lot of the AWS services to a single unified tech stack. Not there yet even today but it certainly helps with code components.
Are you going to be back in these sticks over here again?
The job market is so bad right now that there could be a single universal job application form. On it is only a checkbox that simply says “[ ] Yes, I would like to have the disappointment of rejection feeling sent to my personal email address regularly.” 🤦♂️ Folks, it’s not you it’s the market. 🙄
The diff in both the user base & product approach across social media platforms is astonishing. Today:
Threads: Apple & Tim Cook/Trump thing, Instagram Map thing, and about 100 other triggering things
BlueSky: the BlueSky growth problem, business as usual
LinkedIn: AI, AI, AI, go to my workshop
On it. Your post on the same will be linked too.
Absolutely. Thanks for the reminder of this article. It reads even better the second time.
Trend of interest in the topic of user experience on Google over time starting in 2004. The graph just keeps going up and to the right, showcasing more and more interest in it.
Newsflash: UX is not dead.
How would I go about building a feed, this UI isn’t intuitive. I was able to locate how to add existing feeds but not how to create my own feed (cough, it should be “filter” cough).
I use both plus other feeds in my navigation. I just went to the UX Sky feed and ..it’s got some UX in there but not really much. It’s mostly other stuff. I was just expecting UX posts to be more discoverable ..it feels like they punted surfacing relevant content to the user to figure out. 😔
I have a few on LI & YT:

I mean the main feed. It’s not pulling my interests at all. Like it’s just a bunch of everything everyone is posting.
Does anyone actually talk about design here? I mean specifically UX Design, Product Design, UI Design, Interaction Design, etc. because if I do the algorithm or whatever is certainly not sharing it with me.
Hey folks, if I am following you on another social media platform but not here don’t take offense, it’s either I can’t distinguish you by your userID, profile photo, or a clever name you might be using. Just reach out and let me know and I’ll follow you back.
