An emus for Syvie? Of course!

Oh god. You're HR? Welp, that explains a lot.
I would like these polar bears please?
π¬π¬ the willpower needed to not have a new friend must be immense.
I think the only way to know would be to snuggle every polar bear to check, just in case there's a dog in there. Maybe there's some really, really big dogs?
I am definitely torn with that one. Whilst I can't pretend that wouldn't be the best thing ever and I would squeal with excitement and think I was a Disney princess with new friends... I also know that a fed bear is a dead bear and that's sad and awful π
I think it's also a big YES if the polar bear might actually be a dog in a polar bear disguise.
Ah I see. That was probably what saved your lives.
To be clear, I haven't stolen a bear (yet). I'm still on my way. But I've done the spine needles and whatever form the Bear encounter takes (stealing, cuddles, mauling) I am 100% certain it will be worth the spine needles. In fact, I might even be asking for more of them.
Wooooo! That's very patient and benevolent of your feline overlords.
I'm not sure. If we do, wouldn't they have pulled Mac by now?
I dunno, who wants to tell HR is probably valid?
There were three of them glaring out of the bed boxes at a couple of keepers who liberally distributed chicks and mice around the enclosure. Full on Medusa mugs. If that's how they act when they *are* being fed, you're probably right.
Can I offer you this video of a Pallas cat in these trying times?
do you run? yes. out of spoons, brain cells, options, fucks, meds, and money mybodyistryingtokillme.com
π it was very 'Woe is Clara'. Meanwhile, she's getting steak and sushi and almost certainly being allowed to sleep on the bed overnight π
I hear you can find them in ikea, like Joan's friends.
Not yet. But I'm on my way! We're just taking the scenic route βΊοΈ
She's usually so dignified π the lip catching on her toof doesn't happen to her!
I mean, I say dignified. She did sit outside staring at a half-filled, half-eaten dinner bowl for almost 20 minutes because food cannot be left uneaten.
Hopefully the meds will help and he'll stabilise soon π€πΌππ
Great job, Syvie! Yay, Joan! π
Is it going to have this sort of vibe? π
Path with the reservoir wall on one side and the slope down to some buildings on the other. There are lots of hills in the distance.
The same view, this time facing more towards the water. There is a large metal jetty(?) visible on the water.
The roadway and hills in the distance.
Overspill from the reservoir. The sound can be heard in the background from our overnight spot and sounds like a waterfall. Plus many, many gulls and seabirds.
@donab.bsky.social here's some photos from around the reservoir.
#UglyDogs look how hard done by Clara is because she's not allowed to eat Dexter's abandoned dinner. Definitely not her being stubborn and refusing to come in the house.
It's time for what you've all been waiting for... π₯
The bluebells are out in Lion Country, which means it's time for our favourite annual photo shoot π¦πΈ
I had to explain that she'll stay there all night π and to throw away most of the leftovers if he's definitely done and let her eat the last little bit and lick the bowl so that she is free.
But she was SO good to listen and not eat it without permission, even when she wasn't being watched.
I don't think we adequately explained the lengths Clara will go to to finish Dexter's dinner. We had said she can only eat the leftovers if it's a tiny bit, otherwise it's not good for either of them. So my sister said no. And Clara sat vigil for 15-20 minutes.
MAH BABY πππ
You have done an amazing job. It's one thing to have such an admittedly excellent inspiration, but quite another to capture her spirit so well.
