Submissions and voting are now open, and winners will be announced on the last day of the OE3C. Photos submitted will be displayed throughout the Colloquium and the winning photos will be shared on our social media channels.

OE3C 2026 Photography Contest 📸
If you’re attending OE3C 2026 and enjoy taking pictures as you coexist within nature, you’re encouraged to participate in our Photography Contest!
Enter for a chance to display your skills and win a prize pack full of fun nature-themed goodies.
The CCOVI Tour will involve a guided tour of the CCOVI labs and cellar, which boasts over 40,000 bottles. The tour will also include a look at the Canadian Wine Library's collection of vintages, and will end with a tasting experience of some of Niagara's most remarkable wines.
The Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI) at Brock University is an internationally recognized hub of research on the Canadian grape and wine industry. CCOVI provides training and guidance to researchers and industry members in grape and wine production.

Lab bio: "We are a multidisciplinary team interested in how natural selection or environmental contaminants shape cognition and the brain, with a focus on spatial behaviour. Our research combines field and wet lab work in brood parasitism, foraging behaviour, and migration."

Bio: "Dr. Nancy Chen (she/her) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Chen received her Ph.D. from Cornell University and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Davis."

Dr. Nancy Chen will be our keynote speaker for the evolution portion of OE3C. Fun fact, she did some research on seal populations in Antarctica (hence the humble Weddell seal in this image).
