I’m late, but I love Halloween and this was it for 2025. Was not feeling very inspired this year though.

Do y’all love the Ruby Star collections? Those were our favorites. At the shop where I work, there are a few diehards, including me, but my friend who doesn’t normally love as much as me was really happy with them!
Primary fabric is Glow Garden from Sarah Watts of Ruby Star Society (GA artist!). Accent fabric is Speckled by Rashida Coleman-Hale of Ruby Star Society. I just love their style so much.

I never read it except as an adult, and I remember thinking that it would have been a great read as a teen. But I was probably 30 when I finally read it.
One day, I hope she wants a slow hobby like ours.
The good thing about not having a close circle of friends is that I have a lot more time to read and sew some quilts and other projects.
Exciting Saturday over here… studying for an upcoming mystery quilt program so I can make the sample. I’m happy about the sample, not excited about the studying.
It seems like I try to break a toe or something foot related about once every 10 years. Fingers crossed I didn’t break the bones above my big toe tonight 🤣

If you’re in an institution doing any kind of DEI work, the most important thing to do right now is simply call it something else. Change it to “Community Outreach” & then keep on doing the same important work. When they outlaw Community Outreach rebrand it as “Strategic Partnerships,” rinse/repeat.
