That they have lived with this trauma & pain for so long is truly heartbreaking. How anyone can support protecting the perpetrators any longer is hard to believe & a complete disgrace!

BUT, I would never give a one star review simply because their writing style and my reading style doesn't mesh. And yes, I do try to find the books in the library, but I need the books as e-books and that can be hard to find in our library at times.

There are some authors that I follow on social media where I find what they write is interesting and easy to read. However, I have a hard time reading the books that these authors write. I keep buying their books and trying.

You might have had particles in the air that you can't see. That would set off the smoke alarm part. I assume you solved the problem by now, but blowing fresh air past the unit can eventually cause it to turn off.

A recent study found that for every $1 invested in the National Weather Service, it produces $73 in value to Americans.

Not only is the NWS a life-saving government resource, it's actually quite efficient.

My father never liked to ask for directions on our road trips, but when he did, it took at least 15-30 minutes. He got the folks talking about the route, then some interesting places to visit not too far away, and good restaurants for a family.

🧵1/ BIG NEWS!! CDC just dropped a landmark report — the first US data on RSV hospitalizations after rollout of the maternal vaccine and infant antibody. What happened? Hospitalizations in babies under 3 months fell nearly 50% vs pre-pandemic years. Quietly, radically effective.

Heck, my wife and I did that almost 50 years ago. I didn't know anything about rings except the cut of diamond I was interested in. Turned out that my wife wanted that cut too. We got one with a case of the sparkles.

All books count. The physical medium may change, but the essence of the book remains. After I read a print book, I remember what I read. After I read an e-book, I remember what I read. I had a blind roommate in grad school. He had many books in Braille and audio books on 16 rpm records.
