A new Features section has also been introduced. This is where I'll publish some in depth topics, usually looking at French road heritage.

There's a new section that covers France in general - this gives info on non-driving aspects of life, such as shopping and eating out. And I've added some basic facts and figures in there as well! The Public Transport section has been moved here, so don't panic that it isn't on the navigation bar.

You'll have noticed there is a bit of a cosmetic change to the pages throughout the site, with the background re-toned to make it less harsh on the eyes.

The map pages have had a bit of a cosmetic redesign, particularly with the service area icons. This will make some of the information a bit clearer and easier to read as it has allowed me to increase the text sizing too.

It has been some considerable time since the last major update, but here it is!

A lot of work has been carried out in the background with many updates to existing pages - including each and every route map (and there's a lot of those!).

This is a temporary restriction and will be in place until such time that the UK Government deems that the risk has sufficiently reduced.

There is now a ban on personal imports of foods containing meat or dairy products (except poultry). This includes products like sandwiches and cheeses, but does not include chocolates, confectionary, breads and cakes.

Although France is not affected (at the time of writing), precautions have meant that the restrictions have been extended to the whole EU.

If you are travelling to France or any other EU country, be advised that restrictions have been implemented on personal food imports due to an outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease amongst livestock in some countries.

Do not travel to the airport - await updates from your airline
