Amen!! My partner and I are both disabled in different ways, and fortunately I make enough money to spend our way out of the many resulting challenges. A lot of people act like this expensive coping mechanism means our disabilities are minor. No, it actually means we can barely save for retirement.

The idea of basing disability needs off functional assessment is utter bullshit. It's means testing by another name. I'm considering highly functional to the point where I was told disability doesn't impact my life, but that ignores all the money I've invested in things to make life possible

There is no razor gang for the diesel subsidy.
There is no razor gang for 170 billionaires.
There is no razor gang for fossil fuel's unpaid taxes and damages to society.
There's a razor gang for the disabled.
Congratulations, corrupt Australia.
We know who you want dead.

The fundamental problem with the NDIS is that it was designed by Productivity Commission with its characteristic focus on competition and choice, rather than on service provision by committed professionals. This invariably opens the way to fraud. criminality and inefficiency - see FEE-HELP #auspol

A water recycling plant Elon Musk promised to build in Memphis to offset the huge amount of local drinking water Grok's data centre devours has been postponed indefinitely.

Apparently, Musk considers drinking water for local people less of a priority than increasing computing power for Grok👇🏾

Deeply disturbing to see Australian mainstream news media (incl. ABC, Seven, Nine, NewsCorp) using blatantly misleading headlines in their reports as clickbait, to hold viewers or to guide the narrative. On so many issues: Israel, Lebanon, China, immigration, renewables. #auspol #ThisIsNotJournalism

The people that should be kicked off the NDIS are In my opinion the privatised service providers. Same as the other public teat suckers the Job Agencies.

“Breathe easy,” the mailer promised. But as we approached Elon Musk’s new xAI data center in Memphis, we were hit with noxious odors, and gas turbines roared like jet engines.

Should wild deer be protected or declared a pest? | 7.30 YouTube video by ABC News In-depth

A disgrace. Experts have explained why deer should be a declared pest, that should be controlled & where possible eradicated. This was ignored & deer remain *protected*. Shame on Victorian Labor.

Putting the hunting lobby before agriculture, road safety, & the environment!

When prisons expand, policy has already failed Plans to convert a Covid quarantine facility into a prison reflect a justice system responding to pressure with infrastructure instead of addressing the drivers of incarceration.

"Instead of asking how to increase prison capacity, government could ask a different question: how do we decrease the number of people entering custody in the first place?

What does a blackmailing operation of a cabal of child rapists have to do with Climate News?

Well, these blackmailers are heavily and extensively involved and invested in the fossil fuel industry, all across the world.

As far back as 2023 (a year after parliament protest) this infographic captures the domestic+transnational #disinformation ecosystem linked to Cyclone Gabrielle. The report has much more detail. Climate change denial's scale, & sophistication in NZ is far greater now, which I also flag. #nzpol
