I finally finished this artwork
This is the second experiment I did to try drawing over the 3D model I created of Tidebay city, where my sharkfolk live. It really helps a lot not to worry too much about perspective, I just had to improvise the shadow placement to prioritize the composition.

There's a green and white heron on the left side of the image and some ducks in the water on the right side of the image. The artwork is mostly green and brown with some pops of pink color.

An illustration that is still just line art, without color. It depicts an urban scene featuring my sharkfolk, with different species going about their daily lives among the tall buildings of downtown of Tidebay city.
I've made a little more progress with the color blocking. It still feels a bit messy to me, sometimes I have trouble balancing the shadow colors.

random character design spotlight: Fortune the harpy. She owns a magic casino and traps people in debt servitude. I wanted to try the beak and human teeth thing and she's fun to draw.
The violent jump from 2019 to 2026 🪶
A shimmering cascade winds through a city of radiant domes and spires all rendered in gold. Eventually the concentrated stream dissipates as it exits lower right through an ornate gate of intersecting arches. Descending from high, an animated string of human figures, varying in sequential poses, vanishes down into a large jeweled window atop the largest dome. Across the dome's facade a nonsensical string of symbols floats (a dove, padlock, ammonite, hourglass, rowboat, starfish, etc).

Art by flaroh illustration; on the left, a couple are walking past the thermopolium wearing their finery. “Blue & Gold” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso. A portrait of a young black woman looking peacefully towards the viewer.
