Colbert did an interview with JB Pritzger, the billionaire governor of Illinois.  'Got me to thinking about how much better it would be to talk to 'used to be' billionaires. People who lost it, or better yet, gave it all away. The stories they could tell.

This is in line with Cook Greuter's construct aware level of development.

This stage involves seeing through the narratives and assumptions that typically govern one's sense of self and the world, leading to a more fluid and less rigid perspective.

I find Susanne Cook Greuter's theory of adult dwvelopment to be more useful. It is newer, so descriptions of the later stages are clearer. It also connects quite nicely to SD. Have you heard of her?
