So there's no good step-dad's without kids of their own right?

Also lets just completely ignore the fact that most people have a bias against men with children that aren't there's (as shown clearly in this screenshot) which doesn't occur nearly enough for women who get away saying the wildest shit

2/2 they shut down the app quite shortly after so there was no way to set the damn thing up anymore. If I buy a printer ever again it's gonna be second hand, cheap, no bluetooth, and simple πŸ˜‚

I bought one on sale one time, and had the hardest damn time getting it set up, because even though it was the cheapest it was all bluetooth. Well I got busy, but kept trying a few times a week. Even reached out to support and was waiting on a response when they discontinued support for it.

Macro photo in portrait arrangement β€” a jaunty little click beetle faces the camera while perched, dare I say in an optimistic posture on some stucco. His antennae look like a series of triangles. He looks curious. Happy. Hopeful. One supposes this is because he does not have a cell phone and does not read the news. All he knows is being a cool bug and also clicking his entire body like a weird awesome dude any time someone tries to Kafka his ass upside-down. I wish I could do that. Getting out of bed in the morning would fucking rule. Photo by me, Chuck Wendig

I get really irritated when someone questions the cost of creative work. Oh, you hate capitalism? Me too. Talk to my landlord about it. Talk to a politician. Talk to your boss. Talk to literally anyone in power. Artists can't fix capitalism for you on top of everything else we have to do.

2/2 my first gym had that rule. There was also weapons training and boxing there. Every other gym I went to after I moved away focused on BJJ as a stepping stone to MMA, and they just weren't as healthy of a learning and growing culture. I miss my first gym and team a lot.

So funny thing, I used to study BJJ before my son was born, it was great! My personal take on submission holds is that some you don't do live while training (arguably in comp either) unless you have the control to keep from hurting your partner. The win is never worth permanently hurting someone.

If we all wish together it will basically be a slap on the wrist right?

Dictionary Director; "You all know how we keep trying to correct people about the correct way to say regardless, right?"

Show him how irregardless is a real word now and means the exact same thing as regardless despite the prefix contradiction ONLY because people kept misspronouncing the original word so often that the dictionary was forced to recognize it πŸ˜‚ (I can't imagine how pained that meeting must've been).

I’m putting out a bounty. Free signed books to the first person who can post video for me of David Lee Roth covering Billy Joel’s β€œNew York State of Mind” from the Washington or Oregon shows this past week. πŸ€ŸπŸ’œπŸ€Ÿ

It's definitely worth it I think. I had just finished reading Carmilla, and the 2019 version is the only adaptation I've seen so far (to be fair), but for me it built off of what the novella did, and then did it's own thing a bit which was a nice combo for me at the time 😁.

That's so exciting!! Good luck 😊.

Also I wouldn't worry about the quick rejection on the other one. Everyone is looking for work right now making it a tough market, plus usually the quick rejections mean that they already had someone in mind and just didn't take the posting down.

Hell yeah! 😁 I'm rewriting/editing the ending to my novella soon (I finally made it back after scrubbing up everything else). I was hoping to finish it this weekend, but I've got COVID and it's been kicking my ass so I'm giving myself a break as much as I can.

We got this πŸ’ͺ

I saw a job posting the other day for a gig with Magic The Gathering, you have to know the game pretty well for it, but is that something you might be interested/have experience with? bsky.app/profile/wotc...

Does anyone store their comics in three ring binders?

I'm very much an "out-of-sight-out-of-mind" kinda guy so the thought of a box felt like I would just never enjoy them again. When I started collecting the shop I went to had some nice sleeves, but it looks like they're discontinued 🧡

I agree!

Did you ever see Dracula Untold or Carmilla (2019)? I thought they were great, but felt like they flew under the radar a bit.

Carmilla departs from the novella, but in a similar way to that of The Haunting Of Hill House, while DU is a reimagining/origin story of Dracula.
