Good afternoon/evening, Europe-based genies. You may want to think about making the switch to Eurosky.
The link to do this is in the QT'd thread.

Yeah, I have a couple that are cautionary tales, too. LOL.
This looks like so much fun!
The strength and resilience of several of my ancestors is something I draw upon, too, especially when I feel like some things are out of my control. I also look to the pioneering spirit of some ancestors when trying/chasing something new and the pluck and audacity of others when I need courage.
Do you ever revisit an ancestor's story to find hope, inspiration, and/or courage to help you weather a crisis? Which ancestor? What about their story resonates with what you're going through?

Ever wondered why North is at the top of our maps?
If you're assuming there are logical, scientific, Nature-driven reasons for it - yeah, me too.
In fact, they're often whimsical, arbitrary or just plain ridiculous!
Hold onto your hat. This may turn your world upside-down.

I like AI/LLMs for some things, but not all things, and definitely not for this. Do not need. Do not want.
I am so livid this MFer is just shitting all over this milestone.
Did you know our ANESFHS Research Centre is a FamilySearch Affiliate Library?

I've muted everything I can about current politics on this particular account so I have an escape to just focus on genealogy, history and travel. I've sprinkled a bunch of animal and photography accounts into my personal account feed for some micro mental health breaks, though.

⚾ Baseball is back! ⚾ Pictured here is the earliest known baseball card, which was a Brooklyn Atlantics carte de visite (a visiting card), produced in 1865. It was a souvenir handed out to fans, and even to opposing teams. It's part of the Library's large baseball card collection.
That would be amazing, too, but at that particular moment I was thinking of the combo of exercise, contemplation and a peaceful place.
I think walking through a couple of reaaally old cemeteries could improve my mental health right now.
"Island of Punk"
Right on.
Wondering if you're descended from the ancient Skeleton People? There might be a DNA test for that...
Damn it, Glen Powell. Why are you perpetuating the Ellis Island name change myth on your Chad Powers show? Grrrrr. LOL.

I actually canceled my World Explorer to try out the Family Plan last year because the discount was significant enough. They took the amount for the remainder of the WE membership off the cost of the new membership. Again, I upgraded, so that may be the only reason why I could do all of that.
He was definitely triple-dog-dared to do it.
More specifically, GenAI tools made for image/video/music/written works creation. Sorry, that's what I mean when I say GenAI even though there are other things (like LLMs) that fit under that umbrella.
Just to clarify, I'm not denouncing AI as I believe there are legit uses for it (not a fan of genAI, tho). But the insane pace at which it is being added into everything and adopted by consumers has really altered expectations of new products and the features they should have right out of the gate.
