So funny you mention that! I was reflecting on that this morning.

When Pete told me he had a movie brewing, he mentioned how I’d like what he was coming up with. “You’re a fan of Abbott and Costello, I think you’ll like what we have going on.” So literally that drawing was me reacting to Pete!

Today’s the day, folks! The Day The Earth Blew Up is finally out in the world. A film made with a whole lot of love for everyone—young and young at heart—and I couldn’t be prouder of the incredible team that brought it to life. If you check it out, I truly hope you enjoy it.

More Jane pencil tests;
The first few drawings are my rough "stick-figure" version of Jane; the remainder are my "tie down" drawings and "inbetweens" from an Assistant.

Tarzan was done first, by another animator. Then I animated Jane reacting.
