Coming late to this party, but…

I pride myself and think of myself as a man of faith—as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos, it will be a home run, and so that'll make it a 4–0 ballgame.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter whether you're doing the work for the regime out of loyalty or fear. What matters is what you do, which is the same.

They do care about human lives, but only because the game isn’t as fun if no actual humans are losing their lives. It’s way too woke to kill people in video games when you can kill real people in real life.

My fear… remains as it has always been

That Donald Trump is a stress test for Democracy… and if so… we’ve failed horribly

It’s not about the first guy who does authoritarianism poorly

It’s about the second guy who does it well

If you're at the airport and Kristi Noem is doing the ominous little message from the TSA screens, you no longer have to do anything she says. Leave your laptop in the case, whatever.

My newest #drawing of a #tree is here.
I call it "Yellow Tree & Plants." It measures 6" x 6.25."
I suppose my interest in all of nature is obvious by now. Perhaps it is, perhaps not. My love of trees must be obvious though.

A high-contrast, nearly monochromatic view of a salt-sprayed beach. The tide has retreated, leaving behind a graveyard of dark stones on the shimmering sand. A rugged precipice stands guard over the water, its summit dense with conifers. Beyond the calm grey sea, the world fades into a hazy vista of mountain peaks and low-hanging clouds, evoking a cold, quiet morning on the edge of the world.

The tide pulls back, leaving secrets on the sand. A silver-toned morning where the mountains hide in the mist and the trees stand guard over the beach. Just the salt, the stone, and the edge of the world.

A black-and-white photograph of Interstate 70 running west across the Colorado plateau toward Utah. The highway dominates the foreground, its painted centerlines leading the eye toward a narrowing vanishing point. On the right, mesas rise in stepped terraces, their surfaces striped with erosion and shadow. On the left, the landscape flattens into an open valley with faint fencing and scrub. Above, massive cumulus clouds churn and billow, their sunlit crowns stark against darker, brooding undersides that seem to press down on the land. In the hazy distance, a pointed peak interrupts the horizon, anchoring the eye at the end of the road.
The stark monochrome palette heightens the tension between the open invitation of the road and the looming heaviness of the sky. What begins as a straightforward highway scene becomes something more—an image of transition, movement, and the uncertainty that lies ahead when the landscape itself feels restless.

"I-70 to Utah"

The highway stretches west into storm-heavy skies across Colorado’s western slope.

Landscape format in acrylics on mat board. Foreground is limestone karst in very pale shades of lilac and blue-grey, then long rough yellow-green grass before a dry stone wall running horizontally which dips in the middle showing full narrow white trunk of small tree leaning to the right and topped with a clump of scant green foliage with touches of red. Stones in walls are rendered in pale blue with dark blue shadows and crevices. They show a long narrow side facing viewer and mostly upright or tilted. Behind the tree are wide areas of flat lilac-grey karst, likes fields of stone, with dry stone walls running across and some dark green bushes until along the horizon a strip of low blue-green hills with some darker trees and hedgerows smudged in. A larger long hill of lilac is behind that and on the right further away is the edge of a larger pale blue mountain. Sky is a very pale grey. Signed bottom left in dark green-blue, Liam Daly

Have a #painting. "Burren Tree" is from 6 years ago. I painted it because I love stones, let alone fields of stone. And I really like walls. You know where you stand with a wall. Sometimes the dry stone ones fall down a little, but if that gives you a better view of a tree, great. #art #SpeirGhorm

The sunrise light added just enough warmth to this misty winters morning to combat the cold. I just love how the mist is filtering through the trees, disappearing into the distance.
