Unsolicited writing advice, no. 26:
A well-constructed plot needs all of the following: a beginning, which lays out the journey; a development, with properly-managed, escalating tension spikes and suitable moments of repose; and a payoff worthy of the ride. Sounds simple? (Spoiler: it's not.)

Every time this tailor posts a photo of their workspace, it looks like their dog is a tailor and he's showing off the garments he made.

Hard on the heels of the last cherry blossoms comes the ubiquitous azalea. Gaudy, dazzling and often over the top, it's one of my favourite flowers😊

I finally finished reading Alchemised by SenLinYu last night. Late last night. Took me two weeks. I loved the book, but it's difficult to review without spoilers. Or making the review as long as the book is. 😀

I saw a SCUBA diving pitch that read, "SCUBA, because therapy is expensive and murder is wrong..." and now I want to pull back out the murder mystery series I shelved ages ago with a SCUBA diver solving crimes along the coast of Georgia.

It's a banger of a story, too, and I'm not just saying that because he knows where I live!

White Feathers, Crimson Leaves – Out Now!
My newest Legend of the Five Rings novel, White Feathers, Crimson Leaves, is out now, wherever you order books! If you haven't already preordered a copy, now's your chance to pick it up. And if you've already done so, thank you. It's much appreciated. Grab…
Panel 1: Bob sits on an armchair and asks, "Bob, are you ready?" Panel 2: The other Bob, wearing a red dress and sporting a moustache, enters the room and says, "I'm ready." Panel 3: The first Bob says, "You can't go out like that." Panel 4: The first Bob stands up, combs the other Bob's moustache, and says, "Your moustache is unkempt."
Congratulations!
I review White Feathers, Crimson Leaves by Josh Reynolds on my reading blog. It's his new Legend of the Five Rings tie-in series and while it can't replace Daidoji Shin for me, it's interesting and atmospheric horror fantasy. Out today.

We are looking at a painting of St Liphardus - a 6th-century lawyer, hermit and abbot in Meung-sur-Loire near Orléans, France. He is wearing bishops clothing including a surplus and mitre and is holding a crook. On a lead is a small knee high green and blue dragon.

If you find you make the same mistakes repeatedly (forgetting to intro characters, leaving out descriptions in action scenes, make all the paragraphs a uniform length, ect)... put that on your Editing List and stop stressing it! You can fix that in edits.
