The film was successful enough in its day for a sequel to be commissioned – that doesn't surprise me – and 'Another Flip For Dominick' was broadcast in 1982. Here's hoping @talkingpicturestv.bsky.social aquire the rights to screen it. 🙏🏻 #FilmSky
The Flipside of Dominick Hide (1980) I wouldn't usually review old BBC TV films that happen to get repeated but I was rather bowled over by this. I saw 'time travel' & hit record. I wasn't expecting much but it punched way above its weight. Gr8 seeing 80s London & the cast were wonderful. #FilmSky
Great! Thank you. 'The Flipside of Dominick Hide' punched way above its weight. Lovely seeing 1980s London too.
Pop the kettle on before a little time travel with our channel premiere of PLAY FOR TODAY: THE FLIPSIDE OF DOMINICK HIDE (1980) at 9:05pm #TPTVsubtitles
Loved this! 🤩 Will you be screening the sequel, 'Another Flip For Dominick'? Thanks.

Brian Cox: ‘We don’t know how powerful AI is going to become – it’s both exciting and potentially a problem’
Truly abhorrent.😵💫🤢🤮 But as others have said, this goes on in many of the regular stock markets – unless you're specifically invested in ethical funds.
What else should humanity do with itself over the next few thousand years? Continue to squabble and kill each other? Eliminating poverty, achieving world peace, making lives better for our desendents is our day job. Exploring space is our very expensive but rewarding, inspiring and uplifting hobby.
The rooftop gig is iconic and poetic but just imagine if they'd put their differences aside and had played a few nights at The Royal Albert Hall. We'd have that instead.

Probably my favourite gay film. Unusually, for a film with gay characters, there's a happy-ish ending. No tired 'sudden gay death syndrome' trope in this one. Plus it's well made and performed.

While I often really enjoy fictional ghost stories, I have zero interest in stories that purport to be about 'real' or possible real life encounters. I have a powerful blind spot on everything Danny Robins does. Annoying, because he's obviously passionate about the ghosties.
#ProjectHailMary A beautifully imaginative survival story with a big heart. The ending leans into the cheese a bit, but it’s so earnest that it works. Plus, any movie that uses #TheBeatles 'Two of Us' gets a pass from me. A lovely, smart sci-fi with a fab score.

Just finished re-watching the fantastically twisted and funny #Temple on @netflix.com A third series would be very welcome please thank you very much.

Absorbing adult fairytale with gothic overtones & a twisted amoral story. Graham was barely recognisable in a typically top notch perf – the rest of the cast were fab too. I found it different & refreshing in a way that might disappoint others.

I didn't know just how prolific he was. I checked out his IMDB profile and, to my shame, didn't recognise any of those other films from 1968. Once Upon A Time in the West is all killer – no filler.
Ah, ok. Nooo! I meant one film in the specific year, 1968. Of course I know of his other hits - the No Name trilogy, The Mission and many many more...
This is absolutely beautiful.

It is. Took me by surprise. This style suits him – somewhere between later-style Johnny Cash and introspective, sleepy mode Beck.
