I just finished down a cleanup on that 4th fantasy story I have been working on, called Bone Heart. Teared me up. I think it is nearly ready for my editors and to get feedback.
Not calling these short stories anymore, they all seem to be coming in around 10k words or more

It is crazy to me, particularly as someone who is not in the US, that so many different roles are compelled to work WITHOUT being paid during the shutdown. But elected officials are not among the unpaid...
I think we’ve seen govs toppled for less lately.
I am one of those writers who is terrible at sending out their monthly newsletter if they don’t feel “worthy.” If I don’t feel like I have done enough writing or am close enough to publishing something, I feel anxiety and that I am wasting ppl’s time.
Anyone else feel like that? #writing
This formerly-short story I have been writing was expected to be wrapped up two months ago, and that was to lead to me launching my 5 story anthology launch on Kickstarter.
At first I was a bit frustrated, beat myself up a bit, but it is clear now that the story needed the time, way more emotion.
I added my drop to the ocean and canceled Disney+. On the form for the reason, I put “For actions taken against Jimmy Kimmel and for supporting fascism.”
It is an OSE character sheet, I will try to figure out where I got it from.

My cleric for our #ose has great stats, as in “GREEAAAATTTT….” He has survived to second level..
Today in much of Ontario, it's the Simcoe Day holiday. The lead character of my novel FLASHFORWARD — played by Jack Davenport in the TV series — is named after John Graves Simcoe, the person the holiday is in honour of.

I started reading the DragonBane QuickStart (after backing the KS). Really digging this, a lot. Think I may have found a new favorite TTRPG… hopefully it doesn’t disappoint.
Next to compile all the notes and transform it into my next Wondrous & Perilous Adventure - Jar of Souls.
An epic finale to my #dnd group’s last adventure. The villainous mage cast hold person on the barbarian & cleric, then raced down the stairs with only a fireball spell left.
There he encounters the elderly gnome druid who casts heat metal on him. Desperate, he casts fireball and kills them both.
When you are traveling so much you wake up in the night and it takes time to figure out what city and what hotel you are in…

Ugh - you are revising a story and not sure if you like a scene or the very idea of it. If you remove it, does the story still hold? How much does it need to be altered to make you happy but then are you derailing the rest?
