Everyone should hear this: it is ALWAYS a privilege and a treat for professors to hear from former students and trainees. I love to hear what you have been up to since you were in my lab, class, whatever.

FYI if you’re talking about the #Artemis II mission and you want to get the spaceflight terminology right, the mission is “crewed,” not “manned.” (NASA made the terminology change official decades ago, so this isn’t new, but a lot of folks just aren’t aware.)

Given that most major media and nearly every social media company is owed by people pushing fascist agendas and AI is rampant, we all have to be extra careful to practice media literacy. Slow down. Don’t share what you haven’t read. Be wary of confirmation bias. Check the source. Verify.

a chair covered in slobbery bites from a box of tissues and a roll of toilet paper. no cats are visible so we don’t need to make accusations
So, early reports show someone dragged a roll of toilet paper AND a box of tissues onto the chair and took one million bites. We need more facts before we jump to conclusions
I'm really sorry.

Black and white photo of a longhaired cat, my guess is an orange tabby, blissfully asleep on its side on the lap of someone wearing dark pants. You can only see the person’s legs and the happy cat flopped across their thighs.
Happy lap loaf. ❤️ I love that someone felt the need to capture this moment. Photo from my collection, no date/info.
