It took an entire year but I am employed again. Holy shit. At least half a thousand applications into the job board AI lottery and ended up working for a family friend. Networking is the name of the game. Literally same day I accepted, my old employer offered my .gov job back, by sheer coincidence.

Finally? These are lower resolution than LRO images by magnitudes.

Yesterday, the crew of the ISS called the crew of #Artemis2 and had a short conversation in between their busy schedules of research and documentation (I promise, to a scientist, that's more fun than it sounds!)
This was the first ship-to-ship communications ever to take place in space. #NASA
Gneiss. 😀
For fun I added false parallax to these incredible NASA/ESA images. Save them, view them, enlarge, cross your eyes so they meet in the middle, which after a few moments, your brain will interpret into a 3D view. #nasa #artemisII
What’s the Hebrew word for “Ghouls”?
Apollo 8's Earthrise gave birth to the environmental movement and Earth Day, I would love to think this one could re-kindle that.. but I am not hopeful.
This single photo is often attributed with the genesis of the ecology movement of the 1970s including Earth Day. It's one of the most influential photos ever take by a human.
Again, #NASA tripping up on the live broadcast of a major event ("Earth Set"). 10 minutes before LOS, the aspect is suddenly wrong, so everything looks goofy as astronauts make statements and everyone watching this magical moment. #artemisII
Mission control this morning: "Amaze! Amaze! Amaze!"
Someone get these scientists a darn stepladder or laser pointer, jeez. #nasa #artemisII
For others who want a shot like this: flying drones over the Navajo Nation is prohibited, respect tribal laws.
Spectacular high-resolution image of our home planet viewed through the Orion Crew Module window by the Artemis II astronauts as they continue their journey to the Moon on Flight Day 2, 3 April 2026 (pic: NASA)
A full disc image of Earth, as seen from the Orion Crew Module. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. At lower left, a large brown landmass is Africa, with Spain and Portugal with twinkling lights where the planet curves. At top right, auroras glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space (pic: NASA/R.Wiseman)
😮 Awesome views from Day 2 of #Artemis II this morning.

Such rough coverage. Black screens, rocket pan up completely missing the rocket, the total miss of the SRB separation, lack of infographics until 6 minutes in.. It's not a budget thing, all of the elements were in place, but poorly used.
Spoiled by soacex. I was very disappointed by the coverage of such a milestone mission. Less than 1FPS on the CGI rendering modes? No infographics until 6 minutes into?
No infographics until 6 minutes into the launch, no countdown clock on screen for the last 30 seconds, shaky ground cameras, less than 1 FPS CGI rendering, no moving progress bar between milestones. Spacex has spoiled me on launch coverage. #nasa #artemis
Digital countdown clock is reflecting today’s launch! It’s an automated device that pulls the next upcoming orbital launch (worldwide, crewed/uncrewed) from an API. #nasa #artemis #artemisII
That wide angle shot makes it look like the SRBs are mounted asymmetrically. Wild.
Lets go! #nasa #artemisII #artemis
The very same model!
I just 3D printed a huge 1/18 scale model of this. Nice to see the real thing!
FInished printing a 1/32 Orion CM + ESA Service module to complement the 1/32 Apollo CSM I have. #nasa #artemis
