I absolutely love the stress/vice mechanic in Blades and how much it helps me find RP opportunities during downtime!

The resulting scenes feel so much less goal-oriented, allowing even my most MMO-pilled players to relax and vibe with their character, rather than chasing number go up.

The morning fog was burning off slowly, and the low-hanging sun was mirrored by a white rainbow against the mountains. Down by the river the drones were already active, monitoring the crops and clearing ground on the next set of fields. The sight was oddly calming after months of troubleshooting.

Jenga somehow made it into the quarterfinals of the Pet Lovers' Choice Awards for Cutest Dog. I have no illusions about her making it any farther though, she's 13th in her group, she only carried 20 votes forward with her, and is likely hundreds behind the top dog.

This was such an insightful take on something I've struggled with: When do you lean into Blades' systems vs when do you allow the fiction to continue coasting along?
