Alas, I am a candidate, which would make it very awkward for me to arrange this.
I vehemently oppose the reintroduction of capital punishment.
But I would make an exception for those who use "should of" instead of "should've", and those who spell the word "lose" as "loose". It irks me that much.

Will this lose me votes and goodwill? Maybe, maybe not. But I would like to think that we, the residents of #Staines (and #Spelthorne), would prefer our politicians to prioritize the long-term common good for all, over short-term political opportunism via victimising vulnerable groups.
And if I, of all people, am willing to hold myself to this frankly bare minimum standard of human decency - I see no reason why other public figures (*cough* Dugdale *cough* Starmer *cough* Streeting *cough* Farage *cough* Badenoch *cough*) should spinelessly participate in the promotion of hatred.

I think it would be neat if politicians were to use publicly-viewable social media platforms a bit more, avoiding that hurdle to transparency. And, as a voter, I like being able to easily see evidence of a candidate putting themselves out there, and putting effort into the parasocial relationship.
So, whilst posting there *would* make it easier for those who are already there to see my posts, it makes it infinitely harder for those who aren't already on there to stay in the loop (and that's assuming the algorithm is being favourable!)
However, posting here is equally (in)convenient for all.
