CAN'T WAIT TO GET THIS IN HAND

It’s not exactly easy when he’s not sure what it is that he’s seeing. It’s not that he can’t perceive the body he’s in; his vessel’s eyes are sharp enough for that. Snow-white hair and light grey eyes, pale skin, and a crooked tooth. He’s Hikaru. Or maybe he’s just inhabiting Hikaru. Maybe Hikaru is inhabiting him. There has to be a firm line in this complex weaving of soul and cells, and he’s spent over an hour trying to peel it all apart to uncover what this new existence entails. Well, at least he feels like he’s been stuck in this moist, small room that long. Time is so much sharper yet muddled in this sack of flesh than it ever was before he had a physical form. Before one was given to him. He isn't this meat, and yet he is. The reflection clearly shows that it’s his form in the mirror, what has been him for a little over a decade and a half. And yet he's also been it for centuries longer than the minuscule blip that returns his gaze in the mirror. Those seventeen years aren’t even his own, are absolutely insignificant in comparison, and yet feel like an eternity compared to his previous unthinking immortality. He heaves a long sigh, fogging up the glass as he exhales the weight of the world, and scowls as the moisture retreats. Scowling at him. At it. His soul doesn’t match his body. Plain and simple, that’s how it is. And it’s not wrong. It’s not right, either. But it doesn’t feel that way.

i am so fortunate to have mods and artists who trusted me with my vision, and accommodated for my rather unorthodox style. there are so many talented people working on this and i'm so honoured to be amongst the ranks.
A clump of snow that Yoshiki balls into a fist, and it soars it soars– hits Hikaru’s head, And it disappears into his hair as if it never happened. The only indication being, of course the annoyance on his face. Hikaru retaliates, and another fistful of snow whistles past Yoshiki’s ear. It falls to pieces, like small confetti before it even reaches Yoshiki. Like little pieces of ash from the incense when they visited the Indo family grave. Yoshiki’s hand twitching at his side, fleshy and soft and unlike the sunken dead bony hands Hikaru’s corpse did. A burning desire, a burning want to comfort the brave little boy standing next to him who never cried, not even once. Not a boy, a man. A man like his father who looked at Yoshiki with nothing but tired disappointment. A man like the one buried beneath the ground under the two lonely vigils. Hikaru is a man, and Yoshiki is just a boy with a trembling hand balled up into a fist to conceal all that he’s feeling. (character limit reached)
