He couldn’t help himself; he has no self-control. He added to the viewership numbers 😂

To all the #12s across the globe on this fine #SuperBowlLX day: saying hello from #Seattle, WA 🏈
I’m watching a little bit of the #PuppyBowl to calm my nerves before the game!

Oscar-nominated THE ALABAMA SOLUTION, is a hard watch, but I highly recommend it.
It’s an exposé of the horrors of the Alabama Department of Corrections.
I’m still stunned by what I just watched.

SAINTS OF THE NARROWS STREET was one of my favorite books of 2025. I was thrilled to get an early copy, and have recommended it to many people who want an all-absorbing crime novel. Easy 5-star read and review ⭐️ When’s the next one?

When I use the wet Swiffer, the dog chases the thing around trying to rip the cloth off with his teeth, so I’ve got one hand trying to push him away the whole time. He thinks it’s a hilarious game. It makes it very tiring though.
But it’s become my excuse for ‘swiffering’ the floor so often 😂
Must watch: the bold and shocking documentary “Hearts and Minds” (1974), which won Best Documentary Feature at the 1975 Oscars. It’s a landmark documentary confronting the US’ involvement in the Vietnam War.
It still feels timely, and is just heartbreaking. #filmsky

I don’t know why, but every time ‘21 Jump Street’ (2012) is on, I have to watch it. Scenes with Doug and Brad (Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum) running around like idiots have me in stitches. Ice Cube is hilarious. Shades of the best 80s comedies.

It’s one of my favorite Rob Reiner movies (amongst many). My mom and I used to watch this one over and over back in the day. John Cusack is SO good in it. Oh, plus Anthony Edwards, Tim Robbins, and Daphne Zuniga. It’s an 80s gem.
I had mine done last last week. It wasn’t perfect but I almost fell asleep. Took about an hour 👍🏼
I highly recommend following up with this: Bad Faith (2024), which explores how the Republican Party has completely been taken over by the Christian Nationalist movement. God & Country (2024) is another good film.
I just went to the local farmers market and was given extra ‘farmers bucks’ because I showed them my EBT card; this was a one-time thing because of the SNAP benefits freeze.
I got extra apples 🍎
When I see the crowds for the #NoKings protests, I am hopeful that those numbers are representative of VOTES in the next election 🗳️
That’s where the change HAS TO happen.
(It’s a good time to remind everyone to register and #DontGhostDemocracy)
This movie is basically perfect. I LOVE IT through and through.

Are any of the zip-up hoodies lightweight? (I don’t like them too heavy, as I get hot quickly; I have MS, so I have ‘heating’ issues 😉)
Oh, how I would love to help more people work wonders with their stories and projects. I used to help storytellers in a similar capacity in film and video (as script supervisor), which is why I wanted to shift to editing; it has been a hard shift, though.
My genre preference is also horror 🔪⚰️🔥
Good. It’s horrible for the job market, creativity, and the environment.
A soulless endeavor that is sucking the life out of countless industries and endeavors. (And it’s not even intelligent.)
🔥
Another #horror for October: SOMEBODY’S WATCHING ME! used to be known as the “lost #JohnCarpenter film” because of its scarcity on home video. It stars Lauren Hutton; it’s an obvious homage to Hitchcock’s REAR WINDOW, but the voyeurism is reversed (echoes of BLACK CHRISTMAS) 📞

First #horror movie for October: BAD SEED, which isn’t really about an evil child, but a straight-up SOCIOPATH (a book I’m reading by @patricgagne.com). A remake of a 1956 film, this has few horror elements, and a lot of bizarre adult behavior. Stars David Carradine and Lynn Redgrave in wacky roles.
I’ve been thinking about this all day. I always dreamed of meeting this wonderful woman. Some people live inspiring lives; #JaneGoodall was an ICON. May her next life be the adventure she dreamed of.

The industry shouldn’t even give this air. It’s an insult to everyone—all those REAL LIVE PEOPLE—who bust their asses to create entertainment worth watching. I know too many people who work in film and TV who are struggling for work to support this 💩Enough already.
