I entirely sympathise.

The problem with short-term workarounds is that they become embedded and prevent the long-term fixes from being implemented.

Moral hazard.

After accounting for inflation, fuel is still cheap. And cutting taxes means cutting services.

No easy answers.

The wrong response IMHO.

Better more renewables and joining out nearest trading bloc.

Long walks, especially at night, are extremely therapeutic 👍

Yes, we’ve started seeing them around now.

It seems the feria involves dressing up flamenco, riding around in carriages and then drinking sherry spritzer.

What’s not to love?

Was it some kind of festival yesterday - round Plaza de Espagna we saw flamenco, young kids very dressed up being photographed (first communion?) and fireworks at night.

Or is that just every Sunday in Sevilla?

It’s lovely. Bit chilly this morning - only 5C - but we are now headed to Sevilla where it’s mid-30s apparently.

Bring on the sherry and taps - ole!

A close-up of white apple blossom looking upwards.

Medlar in full bloom.

My parents bought it for my son - who is now at university. And it always flowers around hi birthday.

Malus “Wedding Bouquet” is its name.

This is cool because where we were …. the street lamps were out, giving it even more contrast

Lyrically and musically it treads a fine line between camp, kitsch and ultimate rock excess.

It always just pulls it off.

Have you noticed how wild garlic smells exactly like weed? As in, you walk through a wood and get a whiff and you don’t know if it’s wild garlic growing or a bunch of hippies getting spaced out.

Anyway, enjoy the hash chicken 🤣

Is Gewürztraminer a Spanish thing? I know Torres do one but always think of it as a more Germanic / Germanic-adjacent grape.

And it’s generally the western part of Yorkshire that’s the nicest 😉

Eastern Britain has a few cities - London, Cambridge, York, Durham and Edinburgh - but that’s mostly about it.
