My main takeaway: move beyond documenting the negative impacts of climate change and think abut how they can be mitigated, a point articulated by our keynote speaker Prof. @kotsadam.bsky.social.
I had the pleasure of presenting and co-organizing my first academic event: PhD Workshop in Development and Environmental Economics at OsloMet. We hosted nine PhD students working on topics in development and environmental economics, many using publicly available data like DHS.
Important null results in development economics
Despite the bias against publishing null results, they are important for policy, helping to kill bad ideas.

Reported treatment effects are GIGANTIC. 2.5 sd in India! Never seen anything that large before.
I put together an overview of recent developments in the literature on gender-based violence for @AEAjournals

My students are reporting nobody is responding anymore.
