My nephew wishes to be a Yiga Clan swordsman from the Zelda games, so I am making him this sickle sword out of things I have around the house.
This is a progress shot of all parts temporary assembled. Sealing and painting to follow.

It’s like being in limbo at the moment so I thought I might as well be a roofer for a day and use a cork sheet to make ‘slate’ shingles for the latest model house.

There’s still adjustments to make for the process but I like it!

This weekend I attended Messerfest in York and it was amazing.
Lots of fun with the ‘long knife’ in the friendliest environment. Workshops, lectures, and I managed 28 fights including some against the best messerists around.
Truly a joyful experience.
