This evening, Jewish people around the world will light candles and remember those murdered in the Holocaust. Yom HaShoah calls on everyone to remember and reflect. We honour the six million people killed by the Nazis in a systematic attempt to annihilate Jewish people.

Honoured to be at the Nanaimo - Ladysmith Schools Foundation donors event.

As a former scholarship recipient, I’ve seen what happens when a community invests in young people.

The return isn’t measured in dollars, it’s measured in lives changed, futures built, and stronger communities.

Happy Easter!

For Christians, today is the holiest day on the calendar, marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

People of all walks of life are coming together with friends and family to eat good food with good company. And of course, with lots of chocolate eggs for the kids.

Recently visited Hopcott Farms in Pitt Meadows, a multi-generational family operation. From cranberry fields to the butcher shop, it’s a great opportunity to shop local.

When we #BuyBC, we get fresh products, support our neighbours and strengthen our local economy.

Today, we celebrate the achievements of transgender, Two-Spirit and non-binary people.

Today is also a reminder that not everyone is free to live their lives safely. Many still face hate and discrimination, and struggle to access the life-saving health care and supports.

🧵: Schools need to remain safe & welcoming spaces for students & staff, because that’s when our students learn best.

Likewise, practicing your faith without fear or intimidation is fundamental to who we are as Canadians & British Columbians.

Today, we stood with leaders of many faiths: Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Sikh & Hindu - the wonderful diversity of BC. They all shared an increase in alarming incidents at their places of worship. Our new legislation to protect the sanctuary of places of worship from hate, disruption or intimidation.

British Columbians deserve to learn, work and worship without fear of violence and intimidation.

That’s why we’re establishing stronger protections to prohibit activities that interfere with safe access to places of worship and schools.

Budget secures B.C.’s future, protects critical services B.C. makes disciplined spending choices while growing the economy

Behind every number is a child, a family, a classroom.

This budget protects the child care services families rely on, strengthens supports in schools,& helps ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.

As Canadians we know it's unacceptable to use the horrible actions of one person to attack an entire group. We're committed to keeping schools safe and welcoming environments for all students.
