I can’t go this year. I get such a lift from it. I haven’t yet found anything to replace it.

Parents have changed the pharmacy they are registered with. I was just there saying how kind and helpful they’ve been over the last few days and another customer said, yes they are, they’re the best pharmacy in Birmingham.

Been to a lovely afternoon birthday bash. Result of afternoon drinking is that I’m in bed while the birds are still singing outside.

Can I tessellate all these saved pill packs to fit into the terra cycle bag? Quiet Sunday night here.

Shiver me timbers was my first thought when I saw that. I haven’t been since it moved out of Longrock.

A smaller type of bumble bee on a purple chive flower. It is face to face with a white spider with a large abdomen with red stripes down the side of it. The spider’s white legs are pointy and directed at the bee.

The bee died later in this encounter. The white crab spider is really spooky looking. #SundayPixDeath

Beautiful rain just now in Bham. It’s been a hot day at my parents’ and I’m pretty sure some heating is stuck on. Everything says it’s off, but this house always used to stay cool in summer.

I proof-read daughter’s a-level geography project. It was very long and I felt sorry for teachers having to mark a ton of them. I couldn’t tell if she’d done well or not, turns out she has, so that’s a relief.

Ours was on for more than half of Jan, 13 days in Feb/Mar. Wednesdays overnight storm kept it on till Thursday afternoon. I guess the tank is still quite full, so the new rain could keep it going for a while

Jumped in at Ep 3. That kid is amazing. Like when he asks are they allowed to ask him that, is anyone allowed to demand that performance from him

#EfES thought for today...💭
Children love learning ways to help improve our environmental systems, but they're even more enthusiastic about taking action. Today Y2s worked to answer the @ministryofeco.bsky.social question "How important are soils?". They're now compost advocates & worm whisperers 😃

1. You feel powerless? Don’t know what you can do to resist the rise of fascism?
Here is an answer: Good Things.
Fascism inflicts pain and harm as a matter of doctrine.
Kindness, care and conviviality defend us from it.
The more we build community, the less it can take root.
