Starting to lean towards Persona 3 Reload for trying my first Persona game, although I'm leery about paying the full $60 at this time.
May still go with P3 FES since it's still available on PS3 for just $10.

This was the morning after the Lakers/Thunder game where Luka got hurt, so I was stuck hearing SAS repeatedly go on about the "ASS WHOOPIN'!" that had taken place.
Reminds me of when I was in a visitor waiting room at the hospital a few weeks ago. I was the one in the room at the time and put it on ESPN so I wouldn't have to endure the news.
Then First Take came on and I got to listen to Stephen A. Smith run his mouth. I physically cringed.

It's weird: I've got the toy versions of almost all the Zords from Zeo, yet I have almost no memory of actually watching this season growing up. I remember watching MMPR and every season from Turbo to Time Force, but I draw a blank trying to remember Zeo.
Maybe I skipped it somehow.

My guy had his first playoff game and all he did was drop a franchise-record 35 points.

Title screen for "Sonic Wings Special" for Sega Saturn.
The attract mode for "Sonic Wings Special," showing Demo Play from a co-op game in Tokyo, where both players have just destroyed a building with explosions filling the top half of the screen.
"Best Players" screen in Sonic Wings Special, showing the top 5 high scores.
"Player Select" screen in Sonic Wings Special. There are ten characters, and while some of them are pretty standard pilots, others are totally off-the-wall, such as Whity the Dolphin. Yes, a dolphin piloting a fighter jet.
Let's take to the skies for #ScanlineSunday with Sonic Wings Special, where dolphins pilot fighter jets! One of the reasons I got a Saturn ODE was to check out the console's excellent library of shmups, despite the fact that I suck at them. #retro #retrogaming #crtgaming #gaming #sega #saturn
Title screen for "Halo: Combat Evolved" for original Xbox.
The opening segment of "Halo," the second level of Halo: Combat Evolved. Master Chief, the protagonist, has emerged as the sole survivor of a crash dropship, taking his first steps onto the eponymous Halo ring. The surrounding environment features numerous conifers (pine trees) and appears to be in a canyon lined by steep gray/white walls. The sky is blue and filled with stars, with the structure of the Halo ring seen rising up over the horizon.
Master Chief driving the iconic "Warthog" in Halo: Combat Evolved, with two UNSC Marines tagging along, one as a passenger and another manning the rear-mounted Gatling gun. This is at a later point in the "Halo" level, where the player has just emerged from an underground tunnel, treated to an open sky and another glimpse of the Halo ring. The moment is marked with a dramatic piece of music, to underscore emerging into the light and taking in the immensity of the Halo ring.
Master Chief viewing a Covenant Grunt through the scope of a sniper rifle. The sniper rifle in Halo has 2x and 10x zoom, allowing the player to snipe with a high level of accuracy. The crosshair is trained directly on the Grunt's head, ready to send a high-velocity round through its skull. One shot, one kill.
Double-dipping for this week's #ScanlineSunday. I had my OG Xbox hooked to an ASUS monitor with HDMI for a few years but I just recently moved it over to a retro setup. Halo on a CRT just hits different. Playing it just like when I was 13. #retro #retrogaming #crtgaming #gaming #halo #xbox
Like, it's so crazy to me that just a few years after becoming one of the biggest characters in gaming, Sonic was already being forgotten. Granted, he had a much greater pop-culture foothold in the West than he ever did in Japan, but learning about that still shocked me.
Seeing this reminds me of when I learned that Sonic Jam was part of this Sega initiative called "Project Sonic," meant to reintroduce Sonic to a new audience because after the release of Nights into Dreams in 1996, Sonic Team was getting letters asking who "Sonic" was.
A look at what could have been.

Was this adventure too extreme.
The first real 3D sonic on the Saturn. 3D blast does not count.
Reading The Ringer's ranking of the 42 best WrestleMania matches and got reminded that Kofi Kingston vs. Daniel Bryan at WM35 was seven years ago...

Standard and Special Edition physical copies of "Metroid Dread" for the Nintendo Switch.
Going modern for #RandomGameSaturday with Metroid Dread for Nintendo Switch! 2017's Samus Returns began the franchise's climb out of a long rut but this 2021 release was the big comeback moment. The long-anticipated "Metroid 5" was certainly worth the wait. #gaming #metroid #nintendo #switch
Of course this would happen to Tech. Hope it's not an omen for our upcoming season.

You know, I never thought about that. Looking back, I can see it.
The portal to Metropolis in "Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!" for PlayStation 1. This level is found in Winter Tundra, the third and final world, and it is my favorite level in the game and the overall trilogy. I always save this level for last whenever I play Spyro 2, ending my playthroughs on a high note (for me) before taking on Ripto.
The NPCs of Metropolis are these little droids, and they're really charming with their business attire, little suitcases, and their use of the classic stilted "robot" voice.
The enemies are appropriately wacky, as Metropolis has been hit with an "insurrection from the farms," to quote one of the resident droids. You've got space cows armed with ray guns who are VERY trigger-happy...
As well as little pigs with rockets strapped to their backs, who launch themselves at you in a kamikaze run.
Almost through Spyro 2 and, as always, I finished with my favorite level in the entire trilogy: Metropolis. This city from the future has always clicked with me. The NPCs are all charming little droids and the enemies are appropriately wacky. 1/2 #retro #retrogaming #gaming #spyro #playstation #ps1
