@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Kirby feels right at home in 3d, tons of side content and some legit challenge in a Kirby game. Nothing groundbreaking just video game comfort food

@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Zombie Army Trilogy: Episode One A spinoff from the Sniper Elite series, ran really well and looked great on Steam deck. Solid horde style shooter. The sniper vision kills never get old.
#justbeatit @polykillpodcast.bsky.social Hades (switch 2) Honestly a bit overrated imo. It’s still very good just not to the level it’s hyped up to be. The repetitive nature of roguelikes might just not be for me.
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Chicory: A Colorful Tale (switch 2) Played this coop with my daughter and we both fell in love even though every drawing turned into a poop joke. A memorable experience filled with goofy characters and endless creativity. 9/10
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit God of War 2018 (Steam Deck) In a world of empty open worlds GoW does open world right. Some of the best side quests in all of gaming. Meaningful lore and great writing and voice acting. Steam deck had significant performance issues play elsewhere if you can.
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Naheulbeuk’s Dungeon Master (Steam Deck) Dungeon management sim, had some unique ideas with setting traps and going on raids, felt a bit shallow and not much threat of a fail state. 7/10
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Ape Escape (true ending) what was I doing in 1999 and why wasn’t I playing this. I have righted my wrongs and completed this ode to creativity
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Inscryption (Switch 2) The less I say the better, go play it!
Temu Kratos
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Momodora: Reverie under the moonlight (Xbox series S) What can I say, I’m a sucker for beautiful pixel art and you can transform into a cat, what more can one ask for.
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues (steam deck) Solid beat em up with a lot of fan service. Eight characters each with 8 upgradable special moves. Surprising amount of content for a beat em up.
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime (Switch) A truly unique spacecraft shooter/sim. You jump between 8 different stations to operate the ship and save bunnies/battle bosses. Best played multiplayer couch coop. The single player campaign is doable but frustrating.
Actraiser if your a sucker for anything with town building like me
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Spiritfarer (Switch 2) Cozy management sim game about death. An absolutely gorgeous game. Its all about vibes and enjoying the journey, one of the most emotionally affecting games I’ve ever played. feels a bit long and chatty at times but great overall
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit BALL X PIT (Steam Deck) A classic good but not great game. Love the brick breaking gameplay. Tons of variety. A tad on the easy side the challenge increases by pumping enemy hp rather than making their attacks more complex which would have been nice.
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Mega Man (Legacy Collection, Steam deck) the mega man formula lasts forever for a reason, it just works. Happy to see the series roots finally.

Hollow Knight: Silksong The original holds a special place in my heart. Can’t wait to dig into the lore and play through the third act to fully appreciate this masterpiece.
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Forgotton Anne (switch 2) very beautifully animated story heavy puzzle platformer. Just a tick under studio ghibli quality. The story and characters were interesting and engaging. A little light on gameplay and the puzzles were very basic. 7/10

Epistory - Typing Chronicles (steam deck) was in the mood for something different so I dusted off an old save and typed my way to victory. Some exhilarating moments in the typing battles and a cool papercraft aesthetic make for an enjoyable play through 8/10

Astalon: Tears of the Earth (steam deck) loved this 16 bit metroidvania, good challenge, fun exploration, great pixel art what’s not to love
#justbeatit @polykillpodcast.bsky.social
Minesweeper (iOS) Netflix games has the classic gameplay of minesweeper with a world traveling aesthetic. Has a ton of levels (200+) and extra modes that I never touched. Solid time waster
#justbeatit @polykillpodcast.bsky.social
Alabama Smith in Escape from Pompeii been awhile since my last beat. no better way to get back on the wagon then an airplane seat beat. The touchscreen was abysmal and the gameplay was not much better.
#justbeatit @polykillpodcast.bsky.social
DOOM (steam deck) pedal to the metal demon slaying action the music rocks, the glory kills are fantastic it’s the fast paced action everyone loves
#justbeatit @polykillpodcast.bsky.social Super Mario Maker 2 story mode surprisingly good variety and amount of content with 100ish levels to go through. I’m not much of a level maker but my son loves making troll levels for me.
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit This beat was 20 years in the making. I finally avenged my defeat in my elementary school spelling bee and beat the alphabet. Forced me to play some games I never would have on my own (zombies ate my neighbors) and discover some hidden gems (Ynglet)
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Jenny LeClue Detectivu (switch 2) this puzzle adventure game starts slow but really picks up momentum. The end leaves a lot to be desired but was an enjoyable 10 hours. 7/10
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Zombies Ate My Neighbors (steam deck) Not a great completion experience, crazy difficulty by way of bad design. I didn’t even kill the final boss, the last neighbor got killed off screen and the exit door appeared but I got credits anyway lol.
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Unravel (steam deck) gorgeous adventure game filled to the brim with creative platforming the last level some of the mechanics fall apart but otherwise a fun play through 7.5/10
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Ynglet (steam deck) Visually this game looks like your swimming around in a Petri dish. Once your comfortable with the movement this game rules. short experience but the way the music matches the gameplay and how fluid the movement is makes this special 8/10
@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Quake (steam deck) another series off my list of shame. Whoever designed those floating squid enemies deserves a special place in hell 8/10
