Fellow #neurodivergent ppl. Many FB groups - often parenting ones - ban people from asking if neurodivergence might be present when someone describes a set of highly ND-sounding behaviours. It’s often counted under a ‘no medical advice’ rule.
I’m trying to formulate all the ways this is harmful….

Good morning it's a great day to subvert capitalism by prioritizing REST.
Rest is where we heal. Rest is where we grow. Rest is where we do the internal work. Rest is an integral part of liberation. We must move away from defining even our liberation work in terms of production.

2020 for me. Despite the Covid weirdness the pockets I found were lovely and a big part of that era for me. Weird how fast it fell apart eh?
Yes. And one reason why I’ve never been able to get into the idea of wandering around going about daily life with headphones, or background music in the car / house etc. Needs to be more intentional to me, and match
mood / activity / surroundings.

Our society and its economic system is predicated on ableism.
The two cannot be separated or explained away.
Ableism is what makes all people, disabled or not, feel that they’re only valuable if they can produce.
Ableism is the main reason why people are sick, in burnout.
