Hostess Lights. I see, and were there also Hostess Menthols? Hostess 100s?

Immediately in mind of "Christina's World". Just looked and found that's also by Wyeth, so the math adds up.

Reputable dictionaries don't agree with you on that, but I won't stand in judgement of you about it…much. :^)

See, this is the problem with American recipes of that era. Everything so fake! At least the Ritz crackers box recipe was upfront about it ("Mock Apple Pie"). But just look at this what you've posted. It contains no patio at all!

The melon balls look probably pretty much safe, if they're real.

Both spellings are acceptable. The one missing the 'e' is less common in U.S. English, but it's not wrong. I'm firmly in the _judgement_ camp, even though I'm on the yee-haw side of the Atlantic.

Black BG, wooden box, on it, small square teal pot, in that, four Muscari plants. The leaves are many and strappy and arch out of the pot and then turn down. There are seven flowering stems, four in full bloom and the others coming on. The flower heads are roughly conical with little globe shaped flower opening from the bottom of the cluster upward. Open flowers have a small opening surrounded by a white ring.

(I'm not specifying species name as it's not clear whether these are M. armeniacum as sold, or more likely M. neglectum, or something else entirely.)

Cost. Needed for compliance? Will it sell more cars? Better stars-rating in NCAP? If not, carmakers often nix it on biz-case grounds.

And they'd still have to make the rest-of-world lights compliant, even if they're auxiliary.

Design from go to meet all global specs, coulda/didn't.

I'm…sorry, I don't seem to have got the memo; are we meant to care what she thinks on the subject? Why?

I was quite sheltered in the suburbs where I grew up. First time I heard of sniffing glue, I pictured Elmer's white glue and wondered why anyone would sniff it.

Oh, but have you not heard the Good News? The US is right and the stupid rest of the world is wrong. Says so in the Bible and stuff. Thank you for your attention to this Matter, etc.

Preventing accidents with amber turn signals

Totally. The rest of the world rejected red rear turn signals decades ago, for the obvious reason that they look just like brake lights. Especially when they _are_ the brake lights. Read this (by me): web.archive.org/web/20220122...

It's designed for China. The US, alone, rejects the U.N. auto regs. US regs OK flashing the brake light instead of real amber turn signals, & brake lights must be >50cm2. So brake lights thrown in the bumper for the US version & flash for T/S, and OG lights just for tails. Dumb, but cheap (hi GM).
