Thrilled to share that Ashley Murphy's vascularised fat microchip is published in #Small with Rose Ann Franco! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...
Ash engineered platforms to differentiate adipose tissue simultaneous to vascularisation, and found vessels significantly enhanced fat formation.
@arc-tracker.bsky.social is there a reason to the order of a rejoinder’s detailed reviewer comments? I remember hearing it’s in order of scores (first=highest rank) but unsure if that’s correct. #LP25r1
The support available to IMBA scientists means new Group Leaders are able to launch their research programs shortly after they arrive. Surrounded by a vibrant research culture, you’re never starting alone. Sound interesting? IMBA is hiring a Junior Group Leader. Link below.

[Please share] We're hiring a postdoc in Mathematical Biology at The University of Melbourne! Come and work with us on a collaborative project looking at how to predict biological behaviour across multiple scales. Feel free to reach out, details are here: jobs.unimelb.edu.au/en/job/91913...
Ope just read your thread and saw sEPO not upregulated - sorry for posting not reading! Wonder if OB EPO release cannot be systemically detected
I love marrow RBC production! Some prior studies found OBs to be a local source of EPO in marrow endosteal niches - I don’t see it in your figures but you think it could be related?
We are advertising for a part-time research officer in computational tissue engineering throughout 2025. Looking for a postdoc, PG, or even a UG programmer in bioimage analysis, computational modelling, and/or data science (e.g. Python, MATLAB, R, etc). Applications due Tuesday, January 28th.

initial slide for the presentation about scientific figure making using Fiji (an imageJ bundle) and Inkscape
I would also very much second your opinion. Inkscape is amazing and is constantly improving.
Here also a link to a video from the Halfway to I2K conference showing the combination of ImageJ/Fiji with Inkscape for proper editing and high quality figure output. Hope it helps somebody!

Synthetic peripheral vascular grafts are plagued by high rates of restenosis due to nonphysiological mechanics. The brilliant Sabrina engineered a patient-specific FSI CFD pipeline to identify how bypass graft materials and surgical anastamosis angle can achieve more physiological mechanics.

There are now 24 step-by-step guides, explaining how to create these ⬇️ data visualizations with R/ggplot2 - I hope this is a useful resource. Find them all here: joachimgoedhart.github.io/DataViz-prot...
Do you love 🍔BigMACS🍔 as much as we do? Big mechanically-active culture systems, that is! We just released a computational tissue engineering preprint from Sabrina’s PhD thesis on simulating soft robot MSC bioreactors. A team effort across universities and countries.
We extended our PhD application deadline to January 5th! Overseas or domestic candidates, apply today at: study.uq.edu.au/study-option...
The ASBTE is now on Bluesky! The key society for biomaterials and tissue engineering in Australia and New Zealand, follow us for news and events. We also love to share updates from our members.
